More responsive. Less expensive. Pretty impressive.

Avoiding Litigation

No one likes litigation. You may think you'll be happy to be vindicated, but I promise you, you'll think "why did this take 2 years and $40,000 when I was right to begin with?" Litigation need not be a fact of business life.

I used to sit as a small claims court judge and before each session I would send the combatants out to try to settle with these words: "I know you all think you have a great case, but I promise you, if you don?t settle at least 1/2 of you will not be happy with my decision. And more importantly, I am capable of making a decision that will make both sides unhappy."

That sums up my advice to clients. Even if you win, you will probably not be very happy at the end of the ordeal. So I recommend you avoid litigation at almost any cost. I've provided some information on how to avoid litigation, and alternative to litigation on the linked pages. But if you can?t avoid it, at least manage your litigation well.
